Yesterday was the first official day of Texas and Oklahoma being in the SEC, and boy, social media did not disappoint.

Some people in social acted nicely, and we’re happy to have two historic programs join the league. On the other hand, people who have a history with those two teams were not as welcoming. Specifically, Missouri, Arkansas, and Texas A&M fans greeted Texas and Oklahoma with animosity.

Some Big 12 teams digitally waved goodbye to their former foes in the most hilarious way. However, Texas and Oklahoma fans have taken the move in stride.

If this is how the new SEC is starting, I can't wait until the games roll in. Watching historic rivalries like Texas with Texas A&M and Arkansas, or Oklahoma and Missouri will add an entirely different level to the conference. The potential for new rivalries that just make sense to flourish is bigger than ever before, like Oklahoma and Arkansas.
