The moment we've all been waiting for has arrived. Texas and Oklahoma are officially a part of the SEC. While it's a big day for conference realignment around college football, the effects of Texas and Oklahoma were felt long before today.

In 2021, Arkansas and Texas were the first to match up after the move was announced. When the Hogs walloped them, it sent shock waves through college football. Now that the Longhorns are coming off of a College Football Playoff appearance, they've forgotten their first taste of the SEC as a future conference member. Regardless, as an Arkansas fan, the revival of this rivalry excites me the most about Texas and Oklahoma joining the conference.

That's why I was slightly disappointed in the ending of the SEC Shorts video, welcoming in Texas and Oklahoma.

Don't get me wrong, the video is hilarious, especially the jab about Texas' new head baseball coach. If that move didn't scream SEC, I don't know what does. But in the end, the creators miss a good opportunity for Arkansas's character to get his own zinger. When he approached Oklahoma and Texas to hand them their SEC logo patches, I hoped something would go down between Arkansas and Texas, but it didn't. Maybe a comment about 2021 or simply dropping the patch would've been great as a Razorback fan.

Nevertheless, it was a great/funny way to celebrate Texas and Oklahoma joining the SEC. Having cameos from different SEC-related comedians was a great touch. I have a feeling the best of SEC Shorts is yet to come.
