Perfect game, D1Baseball recognizes four Razorbacks as Midseason All-Americans

Arkansas had four players named to Perfect Game’s and D1Baseball.com’s Midseason All-American on Friday. The Razorbacks had three players named to the second team and one to the third team.

Midseason All-Americans: Arkansas baseball

3B Brent Iredale was named a Second Team All-American by D1Baseball.com at the hot corner. The native of Australia is slashing .345 in 30 games played with nine home runs and 43 RBIs while toting an on-base percentage of .515.

LHP Zach Root was tabbed to the second team by Perfect Game as the Hog’s current Friday night starter. He has posted a 4-1 record through seven starts this season with 53 strikeouts and an ERA of 3.23 across 39 innings.

SS Wehiwa Aloy was also named to the second team by Perfect Game due to his incredible defense and impressive power numbers. He has smashed a team-high 10 home runs this season with 35 RBIs and a batting average of .360. Aloy has also roped 10 doubles, a triple, scored 37 runs and has strung together an on-base percentage of .448.

DH Kuhio Aloy was a third-team selection by Perfect Game after his hot start to the year. He has a team-leading 39 RBIs halfway through the season and barreled eight homers. Aloy is second behind OF Charles Davalan (.402) with a .377 average in 27 games (26 starts) and a .476 on-base percentage.

The Razorbacks welcome the Missouri Tigers to Baum-Walker Stadium for a three-game series on Friday at 7 p.m., but plans could change due to the weather. If the game is played, it will be broadcasted on the SEC Network.
