Arkansas picked up two freshman commits over the week for the 2026 and 2027 classes. Infielder Troy Fisher has committed to the Razorbacks for the 2026 class and RHP Kam Smith has committed as one of the members of the 2027 class.
Arkansas baseball lands two high school commitments
Fisher is a right-handed hitter who is part of the Kansas City Royals scout team. The Liberty, MO. native swing for a batting average of .336 as a junior for Liberty North High School with two home runs and 36 RBIs in 34 games, with 15 of his 38 base hits being doubles. He represented Team Missouri at the 2025 Prep Baseball Central Super Senior Games in Kansas City, MO. Fisher is graded a nine out of 10 by Perfect Game.

Smith announced his commitment on Friday. The Girard, KS. native has a fastball that maxes out at 91 MPH with a 2,371 spin rate, according to Prep Baseball Report. He has a changeup that reached 82 MPH and a slider that goes between 79-80 MPH. On July 27, Smith tossed two perfect innings with a pair of strikeouts for Team Kansas in a victory over Team Michigan at the Prep Baseball Future Games and was named the Player of the Game.

The Hogs should have more high school commits announced by the end of the month and throughout the Fall semester.
