It has been a good week for the Aloy family. With SS Wehiwa Aloy signing with the Baltimore Orioles for over $3 million, Kuhio Aloy keeps the family name thriving by winning the 2025 Cape Cod Home Run Derby Saturday afternoon.
Kuhio Aloy takes over Cape Cod
After Arizona’s Easton Breyfogle hit three home runs in the final round, Kuhio Aloy made quick work by smashing four bombs to win the event. Texas’s Carson Tinney was also one of the finalists in the final round.
Kuhio Aloy was named to the Cape Cod Baseball League All-Star Game during the week. The Wailuku, Hawai’i native is slashing for a batting average of .333 through 16 games with two home runs and 13 RBIs while putting together an on-base percentage of .463 for the Bourne Braves. He will represent the West team alongside incoming Arkansas transfer Maika Niu, who was also in the home run derby.
Kuhio Aloy has been playing in the outfield for the Braves this summer. He was the everyday designated hitter for the Razorbacks this past season while playing one game at first base.
Kuhio Aloy @RazorbackBSB just destroying baseballs in the Cape Cod HR Derby. Wind blowing out to all fields, but with 70 raw juice it doesn't much matter.

Last season, Aloy started the 2025 season as one of the best hitters in the country, slashing for way over .500 before reaching SEC play. However, as the season progressed, he fell off at the plate, reaching .317 by the end of the season. Aloy never overcame his late-season slump, but knocking the cover off the ball in the Cape is a good sign that he'll be ready to take over the 2026 season.
