The Arkansas Razorbacks were named the No. 1 team in the nation on Monday morning with a record of 30-3 (11-1 SEC).

Despite the unfavorable weather, the Hogs put on a show in Fayetteville, outscoring Missouri 51-9 this weekend. The record-breaking series was led by Vandy transfer Cam Kozeal, responsible for 13 RBIs while going 9-for-12 against the Tigers.
Still, it probably wasn't enough to put the Razorbacks in the top seat. But thanks to Tennessee, Arkansas received the boost it needed. The Vols dropped their series, 1-2, against Texas A&M — one of the worst teams in the SEC.
Arkansas is on its best 33-game start for the second straight time, going 30-3 to start the year in 2024. The Hog’s batting order has seen significant improvement since last season, with the team scoring an average of 10.1 runs per game while smashing 72 home runs and recording a team batting average of .335 and an on-base percentage of .450.
The Razorback pitching staff has accumulated an ERA of 3.53 across 275 innings pitched while tallying 331 strikeouts. Opposing hitters are batting .227 off Arkansas’s arms with just 23 dingers allowed.
