The No. 1 Arkansas Razorbacks (32-3; 12-1 SEC) went to Athens to begin a weekend series against the talented No. 7 Georgia Bulldogs (30-6; 8-5 SEC) and served notice to Bulldog Nation that the Hogs are in town to conquer. In the first game of the weekend series between the best team in the SEC and nation, Arkansas, and one of the best teams in the SEC and nation, Georgia, the Razorbacks scored 13 unanswered points to overwhelm the Bulldogs 13-3 at Foley Field.

Although Georgia took an early 3-0 lead in the bottom of the second inning, the Bulldogs did not generate any additional runs after this inning. In the fourth inning, the Hogs tied the game. Neither team scored a run in the fifth and sixth innings. In the seventh inning, Arkansas added one run to take a 4-3 lead. The highlight of the eighth inning was a massive homer by Wehiwa Aloy. Also, in the eighth inning, Kuhio Aloy singled to left field, driving in Brent Iredale.

Arkansas used the ninth inning to send a robust message to Georgia about the superior team on the field. The Hogs scored seven runs in the ninth inning and kept the Bulldogs scoreless.

The Hogs' pitching was excellent. As ESPN disclosed, Zach Root got the start for Arkansas, going 5.2 innings, only surrendering three runs, and delivering seven strikeouts. With arguably the best and deepest bullpen in the SEC and country, Arkansas continued to shine against the Bulldogs. Aiden Jimenez was phenomenal in 2.1 innings of work: He held Georgia scoreless and delivered two strikeouts. To close the game, Dylan Carter pitched a scoreless inning and supplied two strikeouts.

Given such an impressive performance on the road in the SEC by the No. 1 Arkansas Razorbacks against the No. 7 Georgia Bulldogs, it is no surprise that fans and media celebrated the Hogs on social media.
