Since Tennessee selected Treylon Burks in the first round of the 2022 NFL draft, he's had a rough time seeing the field due to injuries. It seems he suffered another setback with a fractured collarbone during the Titans' open practice at Nissan Stadium on Saturday.
Treylon Burks to miss part of the NFL season with a collarbone injury
Burks made a highlight-worthy play down the right sideline, stretching out for a one-handed grab on a pass from 2025 first-round NFL draft pick Cameron Ward. While stretched out, Burks landed on his shoulder and reportedly injured his clavicle. He will undergo further testing, according to a report from Ian Rapoport, but he is expected to miss the beginning of the season.
In his first three seasons, Burks has missed 24 games. A knee injury, turf toe, and concussions kept him off the field in 2022 and 2023, but after five games in 2024, Treylon Burks tore his ACL, missing the final 12 games of the season.

The news comes just days after Tennessee signed former Arkansas pass catcher Matt Landers. After spending two seasons jumping around various organizations' practice squads, he had a decent opportunity to make the Titans' 53-man roster after arriving in Nashville. Now with Burks' injury, the newly added former Razorback has an even greater shot to make the cut.
In addition to Landers, the Titans have Calvin Ridley, Van Jefferson, Tyler Lockett, and Elic Ayomanor among the wideouts, as well as rookies Chimere Dike and Xavier Restrepo. So, when Burks returns, he may have a hard time seeing the field.
