In case you've been living under a rock, you've seen that Arkansas true freshman quarterback Madden Iamaleava is joining his brother Nico at UCLA. It's been hard to escape the onslaught of opinions/rants online, but given the Iamaleava's history, it should've come as a surprise to no one. What was surprising was the quickness with which everything happened, including Arkansas' response.

Within a 90-minute span, Hogs fans received shocking news about Iamaleava's departure and learned his next destination. And in less than 24 hours, coach Sam Pittman and offensive coordinator Bobby Petrino may already have Madden's replacement.

FSU transfer Trever Jackson schedule visit with Arkansas

Florida State transfer Trever Jackson has already scheduled a visit to Fayetteville, reported by CBS Sports writer Matt Zenitz first and later confirmed by Jackson on his personal X account (Formerly Twitter).

The Orlando, Fla., native was a 4-star prospect out of high school, ranked the No. 391 recruit in the country and No. 26 QB in the 2024 class. While at Florida State, Jackson only saw action in the Seminole's 41-7 win over Charleston Southern. He had one rush for two yards. Since he redshirted, Jackson has four years of eligibility heading into the 2025 season.

If Jackson were to come to Arkansas, he would join a QB room consisting of starter Taylen Green, fellow redshirt freshman KJ Jackson, true freshman Grayson Wilson, and redshirt sophomore Blake Boda. At 6-foot-3, 190 pounds, Jackson is nearly a clone of the outgoing Iamaleava physically. Whether he can push for the QB2 spot remains to be seen, but if he can, Arkansas might end up on top of this situation when it's all said and done.
