FAYTTEVILLE — The Arkansas Razorbacks may have been unable to deliver a victory in both games at Bud Walton Arena this week. However junior transfer forward Adou Thiero continued to come up big for the Hogs with consecutive 17-point efforts against Ole Miss and Florida.

Thiero, who also leads the team on the season with a 17-point per game average, also leads the team in rebounds on the season with nearly six per game. He also averages a pair of steals and assists per game.

"Adou really got aggressive," Calipari said after Saturday's game. "I know he had foul trouble in the first half, but it seemed that kind of similar to Ole Miss where he gets aggressive a little bit later in the game."

Thiero is having the best season of his career — his third under Calipari. He played the previous two with the coach at Kentucky. Calipari also coached Adou's father and has frequently commented on watching him grow into a man.

Theiro's increasingly assertive play helped him shoot 11-of-22 from the field this week while making 12 of his 17 free throw attempts. He nearly missed a double double with nine rebounds against Ole Miss, but added three boards on Saturday. He also totaled three steals in the two games.
