While a few top teams took a tumble, Auburn has looked every bit like a national championship contender. A 22-point victory over No. 15 Mississippi State solidified the Tigers as the best team in the conference. Meanwhile, their in-state foe in Alabama fell by 10 to No. 21 Ole Miss, who has emerged as a potential dark horse contender under Chris Beard.

After pulling off an upset victory over Tennessee a week ago, No. 5 Florida found itself the victim of an upset loss this week. Missorui pulled off a thrilling 83-82 win in a game that could define Missouri's season. Kentucky wasn't to be upset, however, as Mark Pope and the Wildcats held off Texas &&M for an 81-69 victory.
