Top 5

Tennessee, Arkansas, Florida, Texas and Georgia all remained in the top five at first, second, third, fourth and fifth, respectively.

The Volunteers remain undefeated on the year at 16-0 after defending home base. Tennessee won a wild slugfest over Radford on Tuesday, 22-9, in seven innings in Lindsey Nelson Stadium. The Volunteers hit three grand slams in the game, with two of them coming in the bottom of the seventh inning in an 11-run rally to end the contest. Tennessee welcomed Xavier on Wednesday and made quick work of the Musketeers, 13-1. Tennessee then swept St. Bonaventure in a three-game weekend series and won each game by at least 10 runs or more.

The Razorbacks started off their week by sweeping the Louisiana Monroe Warhawks in a two-game midweek series at home that required Tuesday’s game to be suspended to Wednesday. Each game ended in a run rule. Arkansas also swept the Portland Pilots in a three-game weekend series at Baum-Walker Stadium. The Hogs won the first two games via run rule and grinded out the series finale, 5-3, thanks to some big defensive plays.

The Gators started off their week on a bad note with a 13-3 loss to UCF in Orlando, Fla., on Tuesday, but rebounded with a 4-2 victory over Florida Atlantic at home on Wednesday. Florida remained at Condron Family Ballpark and swept Harvard in a three-game midweek series. The Gators outscored the Crimson, 41-6, over the weekend.

The Longhorns slugged their way past the Texas A&M-CC Islanders on Tuesday, 15-5, in eight innings at UFCU Disch-Falk Field, and swept the Santa Clara Broncos over the weekend in a three-game series at home.

Vanderbilt and Auburn switched places at ninth and 10th place, respectively. The Commodores had their Tuesday game against Evansville cancelled due to inclement weather but run-ruled St. Bonaventure on Wednesday, 14-1, at home. Vanderbilt went into the weekend and swept Xavier in a three-game series over the weekend at Charles Hawkins Field to improve to 13-3 on the year. Bottom of the barrel

The Wildcats opened up the week with a 16-0 run-rule victory over Eastern Kentucky on Tuesday on the road in Richmond, Ky., but Wednesday’s game was cancelled due to inclement weather. Kentucky returned home to Kentucky Proud Park and took two out of three from the Wofford Terriers. Sunday’s game featured the Wildcats having to grind out a 2-1 victory to officially take the series.

The Rebels had their Tuesday matchup against Southeastern Louisiana cancelled due to inclement weather. Ole Miss did play in an exciting matchup against the Murray State Racers on Wednesday at Swayze Field. The Rebels had to come back from a three-run deficit and force the game into extras. Outfielder Hayden Federico roped a walk-off single in the bottom of the 10th to lift Ole Miss to an 8-7 victory. The Rebels took this momentum into the weekend by sweeping Jacksonville State in a three-game series at home to extend their winning streak to 13 games.

Texas A&M dropped three spots in the power rankings from 11th to 14th after another stressful week. The Aggies started on Tuesday with a 7-4 loss to the UTSA Roadrunners in Bryan-College Station but regrouped with a 6-2 victory over Texas Southern.
