The 2025 recruiting cycle hasn’t been a great one for Arkansas. Razorbacks have missed on a few big in-state recruits like Marcus Wimberley and Carius Curne. However, the Hogs might have received the jumpstart they desperately need.

Four-star Linebacker Tavion Wallace committed to play for the Razorbacks over Georgia, Florida, and Florida State, among other big-time offers. With Wallace hailing from Jesup, Ga., it’s more impressive, knowing that they stole him right from under their noses.

Wallace is a .9720 rated four-star according to 247Sports Composite rankings, the No. 54 player, and the No. 6 LB in the class. However, 247Sports site rankings have him as the No. 34 player and the No. 3 LB in the country.

Here’s what Hudson Standish, 247Sports national analyst, wrote in Wallace’s recruiting profile:

"Hyper-athletic second-level defender who owns 10.61 100-meter speed. Strong football pedigree as the younger brother of 2024 NFL Draft third-round pick Trevin Wallace, a former Top247 four-star linebacker who starred at Kentucky. Estimated a shade over 6-foot-1, 215 pounds with ideal length measurements for a linebacker. Premium athletic traits show up often when rushing the passer off the edge or as a blitzer at the prep level, but isn't strictly a pass-rusher at this stage of his development. Shows nuance reading the triangle when fitting runs inside the box and will strike upon impact. Also can flow laterally with the ball or recover quickly to cover grass from sideline to sideline. Might not be the most instinctive coverage defender but shines playing man-to-man, and should advance rapidly in coverage with collegiate coaching. Plays fast but under control and with very little wasted motion against both the run and pass. Projects as a multi-year P4 starter with the ability to contribute immediately on defense and special teams. Should be viewed as one of the top second-level defenders at this stage of the evaluation process for the 2025 cycle, with plenty of long-term NFL Draft upside thanks to his efforts as a traditional inside-the-box 'backer and added versatility rushing the passer off the edge."
