Arkansas football dropped another huge in-state target. Carius Curne, out of Marion, Arkansas, committed to LSU today after an official visit to Baton Rouge this weekend.

Curne was a previous Arkansas pledge but decommitted in March. The 6-foot-4-inch offensive tackle is a .94 rated four-star prospect according to 247 Sports and the No. 1 prospect in Arkansas. He chose the Tigers over Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, and Mizzou, among others.

This is just another example of Arkansas missing out on elite in-state players the last few seasons. In the 2024 cycle, the Razorbacks missed on three of the top-five Arkansas kids, including Brian Huff, Walker White, and Courtney Crutchfield. All three of them were composite four-stars.

This season, the Hogs are on pace to do the same. The No. 3 recruit in Arkansas, Marcus Wimberly, already flipped his commitment to OU in addition to Curne's today. Omarion Robinson from Parkview has yet to decide, but if he opts to leave the Natural State, Arkansas will have missed on all three in-state four-star prospects.
