Arkansas is currently in the middle of a dogfight with Texas A&M, a type of game where every drive and every point matters. So it's no surprise when Sam Pittman pulled the trigger on Arkansas's fake punt in the first quarter.
Razorbacks' punter Devin Bale ran for 26 yards after Arkansas's second failed third-down conversion. The play had shades of Sam Irwin-Hill in 2014 when the Aussie took a fake punt to the house. While Bale's fake didn't score, it kept the drive alive long enough for Arkansas to score a touchdown on an eight-yard rush from Ja'Quinden Jackson.
The first score of the day was also electrifying. On the third play of the game, Taylen Green hit Isaac Teslaa for a 75-yard touchdown. Arkansas's defense gave up a 58-yard touchdown to wide receiver Noah Thomas, but that's really the only big play that the Aggies could muster. If you take away the yardage on the score, Arkansas has held Texas A&M to 28 total yards.
