Arkansas basketball will play a charity exhibition game against Kansas
Arkansas basketball will face off against Kansas in a charity exhibition game for the first time since knocking the Jayhawks off in the 2022 NCAA tournament.
John Calipari has taken a different approach than former head hog Eric Musselman. Arkansas's nonconference schedule was filled with high-quality mid-major teams likely to win their conference and/or earn a tournament bid. The only time the Razorbacks would play a high-major team would be during tournaments like when Arkansas played UCONN, Louisville, and San Diego State during the Maui Invitational in 2022.
This season, the nonconference schedule is packed full of tournament-level competition. Arkansas plays Michigan in Madison Square Garden in Illinois in the Thanksgiving Day Turkey Throwdown.
Although Arkansas’s game against won’t count this season, it will be an early indication of how good Coach Cal’s new team is. It'll also be the first time Arkansas fans have the opportunity to watch their brand-new team hit the hardwood.
The Jayhawks will travel to Fayetteville for the exhibition game, but the time and date are still to be determined.
