The time for Arkansas basketball's matchup vs Illinois has been announced

The nonconference lineup for Arkansas basketball gets more exciting by the day. On Thanksgiving day, November 28, the Hogs will play Illinois in Kansas City for the Turkey Throwdown at T-Mobile Center.

The two universities have played each other only six times, and five have been in the 21st century. The Illini hold the advantage, winning the first five meetings. However, The Razorbacks beat Illinois in the first round of the 2023 NCAA Basketball Tournament, 73-63.

The Illini are one of two BIG 10 schools on Arkansas's schedule this upcoming season. The Hogs will play Michigan at Madison Square Garden in the Jimmy V Classic as well. Arkansas will also play Miami in the ACC/SEC Challenge. If that wasn't exciting enough, John Calipari is working on playing Kansas in an exhibition game.

When Arkansas heads north on Thanksgiving, the game will be televised on CBS at 3:00 PM CST.
