Well, that's the end of the Razorbacks' run in the SEC Tournament. Ole Miss knocked down its final shot to take the lead with a second left, knocking off Arkansas in the process, 83-80.
Arkansas vs Ole Miss: SEC Tournament
Today's game was the personification of the Hogs' regular season. The highest of highs and the lowest of lows — all seen in the 40-minute slugfest between Arkansas and the Rebels. As fans have seen many times, Arkansas started behind the eight ball, giving Ole Miss a 9-point start out of the gate.
The Hogs caught up with a run on their own before giving up another one for the Rebels almost immediately. Somehow, Arkansas got within ten before halftime.
Again, as fans have seen all season, the Hogs managed to go on a tear through the second half, leading the Rebels by as much as eight points. Unfortunately, with 20 ticks on the clock and up by three, Trevon Brazile fouls Ole Miss' Dre Davis for an and-1 bucket, which Davis seizes the opportunity to tie the game.
On the other end of the floor, Brazile draws a foul but bricks both free throws, not that it mattered, though. Sean Pedulla came up with the ball after the rebound and hit a tough three-point shot in transition to take the lead with a second on the clock.
To be fair, Arkansas played in a massive bind and still almost took the victory. With only seven players, Jonas Aidoo fouled out of the game with some questionable calls, and Zvonimir Ivisic played hurt, which accounts for his 0-3 day. While we all hate losing, Arkansas needs rest. And with the win over South Carolina yesterday, and their performance today, there's no doubt the Hogs are making the tournament. Now the only question is: what seed?
