The Arkansas Razorbacks 12-8 (1-6 SEC) came into this home game against the Oklahoma Sooners 15-4 (2-5 SEC) needing to use the momentum of winning their first SEC game of the season to start a run. The Hogs were 3.5-point favorites in this game.
While the Razorbacks played decently in the first half, they did not perform well enough to defeat an SEC team. They were fortunate to only be down by four points at halftime. Arkansas did slightly outperform Oklahoma in the second half, 31-30, as reported by ESPN. Unfortunately, the team needed a much better performance in the first half to secure this win.
The Hogs shot 37.0% from the field, another horrible shooting performance. This abysmal shooting performance contributed significantly to the Razorbacks losing a close game to the Sooners, 65-62. After the game, fans and media expressed unhappiness with Arkansas's performance in Bud Walton Arena against Oklahoma.
Social Media Reactions: Arkansas basketball vs Oklahoma
Jackson Collier, an Arkansas basketball beat writer at Hawg Beat, argued that losing this game to Oklahoma is “a gut punch.”
That’s a gut punch. Arkansas loses to Oklahoma 65-62. Lots of things needed to happen that didn’t. Missed a lot of shots. Didn’t defend well enough in the first half.

Tough. Thoughts?
Trey Wallace, a national college sports writer, noticed that Razorback fans were “booing” at the end of the game.

Oklahoma stuns Arkansas at Bud Walton Arena. A bitter defeat for the Razorbacks, who had a chance to win late.

John Calipari returns to Rupp Arena one week from today.
JP, a Kentucky fan, found watching the horrible shooting performances of both teams difficult.
This Arkansas vs. Oklahoma game is tough to sit through. Neither team can shoot—it’s like they’re allergic to the basket. Arkansas looks like the better team, but somehow, they still can’t pull ahead. It’s like watching two boxers swinging wildly and missing every punch.

Hogtrough, a passionate Arkansas fan, has found it difficult to take the Razorbacks seriously this season.
This is the first year I’ve avoided taking the Hogs so seriously and I feel so much better mentally for it.

Pinto, an Arkansas fan with a large following, asserted that Johnell Davis and John Calipari are two significant reasons the Hogs lost this game and others.
I never want to see Nelly Davis taking 4x more shots than Adou Thiero again. Cal just has to accept the fact that Nelly is washed…
