Globe Life Field shocker- Kansas State upsets No. 5 Arkansas, mixed social media reactions

Although the Aloy brothers produced excitement for Arkansas, the Razorbacks did not give their fans much to cheer about against Kansas State.

The No. 5 Arkansas Razorbacks 4-1 (0-0 SEC) needed to show improved batting as they clashed with the Kansas State Wildcats 2-4 (0-0 Big 12). Although the Wildcats were the underdogs in this contest against the Hogs, Kansas State came on the field believing they could pull off the upset.

Although Arkansas was able to excite its fans with two home runs by the Aloy brothers, Kansas State benefitted from excellent pitching, especially from its starting pitcher, Jacob Frost. The Wildcats' pitchers held the Razorbacks to only two runs. Kansas State scored three runs, propelling it to a 3-2 upset victory over the Arkansas Razorbacks. Fans and media on social media expressed mixed reactions to Kansas State upsetting the No. 5 Arkansas Razorbacks.

Social Media Reactions: Arkansas baseball vs. Kansas State

Sportsfan, an Arkansas fan, already has a negative outlook about the Razorbacks' season, even though the team has only played five games.

He also, stated, "Diggs sucks and I don't know why he's on the team."

However, Austin Farmer, Site Expert at FanSided's Razorbackers, anticipated such a response would come from many Arkansas fans.

Pinto, an Arkansas fan with a large following on X/Twitter, reminded everyone that "It's baseball," meaning this is only one game in a long season. Therefore, no need to panic or overreact to the outcome of one game.

Dr. Antonio Daniels, an Arkansas beat writer at FanSided's Razorbackers, was displeased with the Razorbacks' bunting strategies at critical moments.

RazorbackHobbs was impressed with the Aloy brothers.

Similarly, Barstool Hogs was thrilled about the home runs the Aloy brothers hit.

The NCAA's baseball X/Twitter account noted that this was an upset.

John Nabor, Owner of Inside Arkansas, stated, "Hogs just can't beat purple teams man."

Mac Wagner, an Arkansas fan, highlighted the Razorbacks' recent struggles against Kansas State.

Tyler Goodall, an Arkansas fan, could only muster a single expression of disappointment at the end of the game: "Ugh."

Hogtrough, a passionate Arkansas fan, said, "It looks like it's gonna be a long season for baseball."
