The first Razorback of the board in the 2025 NFL draft is Isaac TeSlaa. With the 70th overall pick in the third round, the Detroit Lions have picked up the former Division II transfer.

Isaac TeSlaa drafted by the Detroit Lions

As a child living in Hudsonville, Mich., TeSlaa grew up an avid Lions fan, and now, he's going to live his childhood dream. When asked about the chance to play for Detroit before the draft, he was in disbelief.

"It’s definitely crazy,” said TeSlaa. “It’s always been a dream of mine to play in the league. Obviously, it’s always been the biggest dream to play for the Lions, but whatever happens, happens. I’m going to be happy wherever I end up.”

In his two seasons with the Hogs, TeSlaa brought in 62 receptions for 907 yards and five touchdowns. He was one of the biggest wide receiver transfers in 2023, coming from Hillsdale College at the DII level. And he brought with him an insane one-handed highlight tape.

Unfortunately, Arkansas is criticized for misusing the 6-foot-4 freak athlete while in Fayetteville. Last season alone, TeSlaa only produced 546 yards and three touchdowns despite being on one of the best passing offenses in the country. He had three games without a single catch and only two where he eclipsed 100 yards.

Of course, the SEC's leading receiver, Andrew Armstrong, was also on the team, but TeSlaa's performance at the NFL Combine offered more questions than answers. After all the testing concluded, TeSlaa came out on top of the entire field with the highest relative athletic score of anyone in the draft. With a 9.96 out of 10, he ranks 16th of all WRs tested from 1987 to 2025.
