After losing two consecutive SEC series, the No. 5 Arkansas Razorbacks (35-7; 13-5 SEC) faced the Arkansas-Little Rock Trojans (18-21; 7-7 OVC), who cannot be taken lightly, especially considering they have upset Ole Miss this season. Understanding this, the Hogs entered Baum-Walker Stadium in Fayetteville, ready to demonstrate they are the superior team, and they proved to the Trojans they are the superior team, as they run-ruled them in the top of the seventh inning 10-0. The Razorbacks' pitchers only surrendered three hits in the shutout.

Brent Iredale got things going in the second inning with a solo home run, and four additional runs would score that inning. Iredale has been in an unpleasant hitting slump. Therefore, the Razorbacks hope this game will return him to his exceptional slugging. Given that Arkansas's pitchers would hold Little Rock scoreless and with only three hits, the Hogs' offensive production in the second inning was all they needed to win. Arkansas would score four more runs in the third inning and one in the fourth.

Tate McGuire received the start for the Razorbacks and gave them five scoreless innings, surrendered the only three hits the Trojans could muster, and delivered three strikeouts. In relief, Dylan Carter did an excellent job and produced a strikeout. To close the game in the seventh, Carson Wiggins was impressive: he struck out all three batters he faced.

After the No. 5 Arkansas Razorbacks took care of business against the Arkansas-Little Rock Trojans, many fans and media gave them positive reactions on social media.
