The Arkansas Razorbacks football team matched their 2025 win total with a 34-8 victory against Tulsa this past weekend, and now, Ryan Silverfield and his first-year squad are preparing for a trip to hostile territory.

The Hogs' Week 4 matchup against Texas A&M is going to be a major test, but if the Razorbacks want to turn things around after ending the 2025 season 2-10, they're going to need to pull off an upset at some point.

What time do Arkansas and Texas A&M play?

The Arkansas Razorbacks and Texas A&M Aggies are scheduled to kick off at 7:00 p.m. ET (6:00 p.m. CT), making consecutive evening kickoffs for Ryan Silverfield and the Arkansas Razorbacks.

The Hogs and the Aggies are both 2-2 overall and winless in conference play, so a win on Saturday night would be pivotal for either team as they head into the thick of conference play. Texas A&M will host the Hogs at Kyle Field in College Station, with temperatures expected to sit in the upper 70s around kickoff. Rain could also play a factor, with showers currently in the forecast throughout portions of Saturday evening.

Predictions for Arkansas vs. Texas A&M

The Arkansas Razorbacks looked much improved in their Week 4 victory over Tulsa -- unfortunately, Tulsa is a far cry from what awaits the Hogs in College Station this Saturday night. The Texas A&M Aggies are coming off back-to-back SEC losses, and after going to the College Football Playoff for the first time last season, Mike Elko's team is likely looking for blood as Ryan Silverfield heads to Kyle Field for the first time as Arkansas' head coach.

The Arkansas Razorbacks probably aren't going to win many more games this year, but they've shown enough offensive firepower through the passing game, along with enough defensive improvement against Tulsa, to think that they can come away with a W or two in SEC play. On the other hand, the Aggies have been extremely inconsistent through four games, looking surprisingly beatable for a team bringing back its quarterback after reaching the College Football Playoff last year.

Ryan Silverfield quieted some of the haters with a lopsided 34-6 win against Tulsa; however, Saturday represents his first realistic opportunity to prove that the improvement can translate to SEC competition.

  • The Arkansas rushing attack has gotten off to a disastrous start, with the Razorbacks averaging just 2.56 yards per carry -- the worst mark in the FBS through four games. They've yet to have a running back crack 50 yards in a game, and as of Week 4, Cam Settles' longest run is only nine yards. Look for RB Cam Settles -- whom Ryan Silverfield highlighted earlier this week for his versatility -- to break this streak by hitting 50+ yards while remaining involved in the passing game this week against Texas A&M.
  • Breakout Arkansas WR Chris Marshall started his college career as a member of the Texas A&M Aggies, giving the SEC's leading wide receiver extra motivation heading into this week. Marshall currently leads the conference with 473 receiving yards while tying for the SEC lead with 28 receptions, and he's coming off back-to-back 100-yard games. The Razorbacks to get him the ball early and often, which should set Marshall up for another 100-yard receiving game against his former team.
  • The Arkansas Razorbacks only have one interception on the year so far, while Texas A&M QB Marcel Reed has tossed four. The Hogs will likely need to win the turnover battle given their recent offensive struggles -- and Reed has thrown an interception in each of his past three games, including three across Texas A&M's two SEC losses. The Aggies have shown just enough inconsistency that Arkansas can realistically capitalize. Expect Arkansas' first multi-interception game in the Ryan Silverfield era.
  • Arkansas has lost 12 straight SEC contests, a skid that is beginning to creep toward some infamous territory in program history. The Hogs previously endured a 17-game conference losing streak from 2012-14 and a 20-game SEC skid that finally ended in 2020. There won't be any easy matchups for the Hogs this year, but with Texas A&M reeling from a 0-2 start to conference play, it's a legitimate possibility that the Arkansas Razorbacks could escape College Station with a victory. Hogs by four.

Final Score Prediction: Arkansas 28, Texas A&M 24
