If the Arkansas Razorbacks 12-8 (1-6 SEC) desire to become eligible to participate in March Madness, they must launch a serious campaign tonight against the Kentucky Wildcats 15-5 (4-3 SEC) in Rupp Arena. Even the most casual observer of college basketball knows Rupp Arena has historically been one of the most challenging places for opposing teams to play.

With the return of John Calipari to Rupp Arena as the head coach of the Razorbacks, Kentucky's fans will be more motivated than ever to generate the most electric atmosphere in the arena's history.

While many believe this game no longer has the luster it was expected to have, considering Arkansas has not had the season many had hoped and/or thought it would, this is a historic game with plenty of luster. Calipari's return to Rupp Arena to face his former team makes this game must-see-television. One would not be wise to think that Arkansas's current record means that Kentucky will dominate the Hogs. Arkansas has a talented team that should not be taken for granted.

Before watching tonight's game, it's vital to understand the players unable to participate because of injuries.

Arkansas basketball vs Kentucky injury report

Kentucky Wildcats

According to the SEC Student-Athlete Availability Report, the Kentucky Wildcats will be without Lamont Butler and Kerr Kriisa. Also, Andrew Carr is listed as "probable" for tonight contest against the Arkansas Razorbacks. ESPN reporter Pete Thamel noted that Lamont Butler's absence from tonight's game means the Wildcats will be without their second-leading scorer, which, quite naturally, will have a significant impact on tonight's game.

Arkansas Razorbacks

While the Razorbacks have only one player not able to play tonight because of an injury, it's one of their best. As has been previously reported, Arkansas will have to face a brutal remaining SEC schedule without its star freshman guard Boogie Fland, given that he had season-ending surgery. According to ESPN, Fland is the Hogs' second-leading scorer and their leader in assists.
