The No. 5 Arkansas Razorbacks (37-8; 14-6 SEC) bounced back in the second game of the weekend series against the Florida Gators (29-16; 7-13 SEC), with a 7-0 win, propelled by an explosive six-run fifth inning in Gainesville. Arkansas had a strong offensive performance, as seven hits, including a homer by Cam Kozeal, helped generate seven runs.

When the Razorbacks have struggled this season, especially over the last two SEC weekend series, their hitting has not been the problem; their poor pitching has caused them to depart from elite play. If Dave Van Horn needs clarity about why pitching by committee is necessary, he can observe this five-hit shutout win to comprehend the wisdom of using this strategy.

Gage Wood pitched three fantastic innings, surrendering only one hit and delivering five strikeouts. In relief, Gabe Gaeckle allowed only one hit in 3.1 innings. Aiden Jimenez pitched the final 2.2 innings, permitting only three hits, and produced three strikeouts. If Arkansas seeks to return to playing like the best team in the country, its pitchers must perform as close to possible as they did in this game. The Hogs walked on the field with a determined attitude to dominate Florida, and they must bring this same attitude to each of their remaining games.

After overwhelming the Florida Gators in the second game of the weekend series in Gainesville, the No. 5 Arkansas Razorbacks received many positive reactions on social media.
