Midweek success in Baum-Walker: No. 3 Arkansas crushes UCA, fans and media react

Although the University of Central Arkansas Bears did all they could do against the No. 3 Arkansas Razorbacks, the game proved the Bears lack the talent to compete with the Hogs.

Although the University of Central Arkansas Bears (UCA) (5-9) entered the game hoping to upset the No. 3 Arkansas Razorbacks (16-1) in Baum-Walker Stadium, such hope proved to be fool's gold as the Hogs dominated them 9-2. To be frank, Arkansas has too much firepower on the mound and at the plate for UCA to pose any legitimate threat. The game and its final score evidenced the significant disparities in talent between the two teams.

The Razorbacks continued to hit with power in this game. Brent Iredale, Kuhio Aloy, and Cam Kozeal each hit home runs. With seven home runs each, Kuhio Aloy and Brent Iredale are tied for the team's lead in homers. Iredale supplied four RBIs. Arkansas used five pitchers and only surrendered two runs.

Arkansas must continue to deliver excellent pitching and hitting as it heads to Oxford to challenge the No. 13 Ole Miss Rebels (14-2) for the season's first SEC weekend series. Although the Hogs have a slight edge in momentum entering the weekend series against the Rebels, SEC road games are always challenging to win. Ahead of the weekend series clash with Ole Miss, the No. 3 Arkansas Razorbacks generated positive social media reactions for their dominant performance against Central Arkansas.
