The No. 22 Arkansas Razorbacks baseball team (23-13, 7-7 SEC) gave Razorback Nation much to celebrate after dominating the No. 8 Alabama Crimson Tide (26-10, 8-6 SEC) 15-6 in Game 2 in Tuscaloosa. While this series win is a genuine upset, it is an even more impressive upset when one considers that Alabama was riding an 18-game home winning streak heading into the series. Therefore, what the Hogs have accomplished in Tuscaloosa should not be undervalued, for crushing that team in that challenging environment merits authentic praise.
To keep the momentum going, the Razorbacks need to secure the series sweep today at 1:00 p.m. CT. After clinching the series, Dave Van Horn implored his team not to settle for the series win; instead, he wants the team to maintain this level of play to not only sweep the series but also to propel it to perform consistently as it has in the past two games.

The legendary coach has witnessed it all, which is why he never gets too high or too low. Although he gave his team the robust praise it earned, he did not desire it to win a battle only to lose the war inevitably. He recognizes that his team has suffered from inconsistency this season. With a series sweep over one of the truly best teams in the nation, the Alabama Crimson Tide, in Tuscaloosa, Van Horn understands it will give his players significant confidence, confidence he can use to motivate them to overcome tough challenges ahead.

Therefore, to win as the Hogs have in the past two games has given them much-needed reasons to celebrate and has renewed hope that Van Horn will win his elusive first national championship.
