Arkansas is set to take on Grambling for its first midweek game of the season. The Hogs are coming off a huge weekend, finishing 2-1 in the Amegy Bank College Baseball Series.
While the bats weren't as hot as preferred in Arlington, this afternoon is an excellent opportunity to warm them up. At first pitch, the weather will be wonderful. 74 degrees. Partly cloudy. It's the perfect conditions, leaving little excuse for a poor performance, especially with the reigning SEC Player of the Week.
This season, Wehiwa Aloy is everything Razorback fans expected last year and more, hitting .417 through week two with seven RBIs. However, it's double trouble with Aloy's younger brother Kuhio nipping at his heels with nearly identical stats.
Seeing the newly coined "Bash Braddahs" hit bombs at Baum would be fun, but diving into the dugout and catching the first glimpse of some new face would be even better. And with the talent differential between Arkansas and Grambling, that should be the goal. Last season, Arkansas knocked them off 21-1 in seven innings, but the Tigers 2025 can hit with the best of them, scoring 9.9 runs a game this season.
