Although the No. 3 Alabama Crimson Tide 20-3 (9-1 SEC) were short three players due to injuries as the team rolled into Bud Walton Arena to battle the Arkansas Razorbacks 14-9 (3-7 SEC), Alabama has such a talented roster that those three players can miss a game without having much impact on the team's performance. However, when coming into arguably the toughest place to play in college basketball, Bud Walton Arena, to face Arkansas, arguably the hottest team in the country, a team, no matter how good it is, needs a truly healthy roster to secure a victory.

In the first half, Arkansas's defense was relentless, but Alabama still shot the ball exceptionally well. Such exceptional shooting allowed the Crimson Tide to take a six-point lead into halftime, 40-34. When Alabama came out of halftime, the team was determined to run the Hogs out of their own gym. The Crimson Tide made a robust effort to accomplish that feat. However, the Razorbacks never quit on trying to win the game. Unfortunately, for Razorback Nation, despite a ferocious comeback, Arkansas dug a hole too deep to overcome in the end.

As ESPN revealed, the Razorbacks did win the second half, 47-45, but Alabama came away with a close win in the end, 85-81. After the game, many fans and media via social media expressed how impressed they were with the Arkansas Razorbacks for their fight to the final second of the game.
