In the graphic detailing his announcement, Thiero thanks many people, including the coaching staff, teammates, and the Arkansas fanbase. "I want to extend a heartfelt thank you to the University of Arkansas, Coach Cal, Staff, GAs, Managers, teammates, fans, and all of Razorback nation for their unwavering support and belief in me," wrote Thiero.
"The lessons I've learned here will always hold a special place in my heart... After a lot of hard work, dedication, and preparation, I am ready to take the next step in my career... With that being said, I'd like to announce I am officially declaring for the 2025 NBA draft!"
Thiero's father, Alamamy, played for Coach Cal at Memphis between 2002 and 2005. A Pittsburgh native, he followed in his father's footsteps, joining Calipari at Kentucky, where he earned a starting role with the Wildcats. When Coach Cal moved to Arkansas, Thiero went with him.
As a Razorback, the 6-foot-8-inch junior stepped up as the team's leading scorer, driving to the rim better than anyone on the court. He also had an important role in beating his former team, sparking Arkansas' run to the NCAA Tournament. Thiero recorded 21 points, eight boards, and three steals against Kentucky.
