After one season with the Razorbacks, Arkansas freshman Boogie Fland has declared for the NBA draft.
Fland announced his intentions on his personal Instagram page, thanking Coach John Calipari and Razorback Nation for his time at Arkansas. "Thank you to all my fans and supporters, this year has been nothing short of unforgettable. Returning to the team for March Madness and competing alongside my brother was an experience I'll cherish forever." wrote Fland.
"Much love to Razorback Nation, Coach Calipari & the entire coaching staff, and every one of my teammates for believing in me... With that being said, I'm officially declaring for the 2025 NBA Draft."
Boogie Fland's early draft predictions and career at Arkansas
Heading into the NBA combine, most projections have Fland going in the late first/early second round. The official NBA mock draft as the point guard joining fellow former Razorback Anthony Blank and the Orlando Magic as the 44th pick of the 2025 NBA Draft.
Fland came to Arkansas as a five-star, according to 247Sports Composite rankings, and the No. 20 overall prospect in the 2024 class. He started every game before his injury against Flordia and the two following matchups with LSU and Missouri before having surgery on his thumb. The coaching staff thought he was lost for the season, but as Arkansas entered the NCAA Tournament, news broke that Fland would suit up for the Razorbacks' tournament run.
Before his injury, Fland averaged 15.4 points and 5.7 assists a game. However, while he gave Arkansas great minutes during March Madness, Fland left much of the scoring to his teammates, putting up only 12 points in the Hogs' three games, lowering his season total. He finished his career at Arkansas, shooting 37.9 percent from the field and 34 percent from the 3-point line for 13.5 points, with 3.2 rebounds, 5.1 assists, and 1.5 steals a game.
