The duds outweighed the studs in Arkansas football's game against Ole Miss

Believe it or not, there were a few studs in Arkansas's 63-31 loss to Ole Miss.

Duds

The Arkansas Offensive Line

Yes, every person on the Arkansas offensive line is a dud today. For most of the game, the offensive line did not block anyone, which, to be frank, exposed Taylen Green to injury. When quarterbacks do not receive protection, especially in a conference as physical as the SEC, they are likely to experience an injury, often a severe injury. According to ESPN, the Hogs’ offensive line surrendered eight sacks, which is unacceptable.

Sam Pittman

Sam Pittman has been known as an offensive line genius throughout his long career. However, he has yet to produce a consistently quality offensive line at Arkansas, which Daniel Shi, Arkansas Razorbacks beat writer at Sports Illustrated, revealed. Pittman’s inability to deliver a quality offensive line at Arkansas is unacceptable and merits a serious evaluation at the end of the season about whether he should continue as head coach.

The Arkansas Secondary

The Arkansas secondary did not cover anyone today. Wide receivers ran past them, and it almost appeared they were not even on the field. According to ESPN, the Razorbacks’ secondary allowed Ole Miss seven passing touchdowns. The secondary’s performance was, without question, pitiful.
