Former Arkansas Football player Treylon Burks is in the middle of preparing for the 2022 NFL Draft, training and working on his game to improve his draft stock.
The Razorbacks are going to miss having one of the all-time great wide receivers being the focal point of the offense next season.
The Hogs have reloaded at the position for the 2022 season, but more on that some other time. We’re here to look ahead at where the star wide-out may land in the 2022 NFL Draft.
Former Arkansas Football player Treylon Burks projects to be a first-round pick
CBS Sports currently has the Warren, Ark. native being drafted No. 13 overall to the Cleveland Browns in the 2022 NFL Draft.
Starting quarterback Baker Mayfield would no doubt love to have a big-time target like Burks to be able to throw the ball to and run some gadget plays.
"Although I value the talent of Garrett Wilson and Jameson Williams more, I actually think Burks would be a great fit for Cleveland’s offense. He is a big slot receiver who can contribute in the run game and create after the catch."
The former Razorback would be a perfect fit in Cleveland, giving the Browns a deep-ball threat and a player who could run end-arounds.
CBS Sports projects Burks to be the third wide receiver taken in the draft, behind USC’s Drake London at No. 10 overall (New York Jets) and Ohio State wide receiver Garrett Wilson at No. 11 overall (to the Washington Football Team).
The draft is still a couple of months away and Burks will continue to jockey for position as the Draft Combine and various other workouts take place leading-up to the April draft.
Burks finished his final season with the Hogs in 2021, recording 1,104 yards on 66 receptions and 11 touchdowns.
