Prediction: Green Bay Packers, Round 1, Pick 27

As most expected, tight end Hunter Henry should be the first Razorback picked in the 2016 draft. Lots of discussions have argued whether Henry was worthy of being a first-round pick. I’m here to say he is.

Since his arrival at Arkansas, Hunter Henry has played like a veteran, or in this case a “first-round pick”. In his three years, Henry recorded 1,661 receiving yards on nine touchdowns. The most impressive stat, however, is his mere two dropped catches during an entire collegiate career.

In a typical NFL Draft, tight ends are generally not taken. But Henry’s gift for the game makes him an exception. His outstanding blocking and catching abilities earned him the 2015 John Mackey Award. Those feats plus Green Bay being in need of a big play producer only adds up to drafting Henry.

This wouldn’t be the first time the Green Bay Packers picked a John Mackey Award winner. In fact, this wouldn’t be the first time they’ve picked a John Mackey Award winner from Arkansas. D.J. Williams, the Hogs tight end from 2007-2010, was chosen in the fifth-round of the 2011 draft by the Packers.
