Fayetteville, Ark. – The Associated Press released their first and second All-SEC teams on Monday. Among the handful of unanimous selections was senior Arkansas wide receiver Cobi Hamilton.

Hamilton led the SEC with 90 catches and 1,335 yards receiving yards. Hamilton added five touchdowns and a healthy 14.8 yards per catch to boost his impressive 2012 statistics.

Arkansas had two second team selections, junior center Travis Swanson and senior punter Dylan Breeding.

On 53 total punts Breeding tallied 2,416 total yards. His average of 45.58 yards per punt was second best in the SEC. Breeding also only allowed an average of 2.0 return yards per punt.

Junior defensive end Chris Smith was a SEC Honorable Mention player. Smith was fourth in the conference in sacks with 9.5. He also was among the league leaders in tackles for loss with a team-high 13 TFL with a total of 70 yards lost on those plays.

Noticeably absent from the AP All-SEC teams was senior quarterback Tyler Wilson and senior safety/linebacker Ross Rasner.

Wilson finished fourth in the SEC in total passing yards with 3,387 while throwing 21 touchdown passes with 13 interceptions. Arguments could be made about Wilson’s importance to the Razorbacks above all other SEC quarterbacks other than A&M’s Johnny Manziel.

Rasner finished ninth in the SEC in total tackles with 92 and was the only defensive back in the conference’s top 10 in total tackles. Rasner was tied for third most interceptions, out of 15 total players, in the SEC with three picks.

The multidimensional Rasner was also among the top 10 in the SEC in passes defended with 10 and in passes broken up (7).
