Arkansas football landed three players on the 2025 Coaches All-SEC teams, as redshirt senior offensive lineman Fernando Carmona, junior defensive lineman Quincy Rhodes Jr., and senior running back Mike Washington Jr. were each named to the Second Team, the league office announced Tuesday afternoon.
Fernando Carmona: Back-to-Back All-SEC Performer
For the second straight season, Carmona earned All-SEC recognition, this time rising from Third Team a year ago to Second Team honors. With consecutive All-SEC selections, he becomes the first Razorback offensive lineman to achieve the feat since Frank Ragnow (2016–17). Very good company to be with as Ragnow was considered one of the best offensive lineman in Arkansas football history and a great NFL player.
Since arriving from San Jose State in 2023 via the transfer portal, Carmona has been a rock for the Razorbacks’ offensive front. He started all 25 games during his Arkansas career and finished college football with an astounding 49 consecutive starts, a streak dating back to 2022. His consistency, durability, and leadership anchored one of the most stable positions on the team.
Carmona has accepted an invitation to the Senior Bowl, where he will have the opportunity to showcase his talents in front of NFL scouts as he begins his push toward a professional career.
Quincy Rhodes Jr.: A Breakout Star on Defense
On a Razorback defense that endured its share of struggles in 2025, Quincy Rhodes Jr. shined as the clear bright spot. The junior erupted for a breakout campaign, recording 44 total tackles, a team-leading 15.5 tackles for loss, eight sacks, six quarterback hurries, and a forced fumble.
His 15.5 tackles for loss were the most by a Razorback defender since Trey Flowers in 2015, and he became the first Arkansas player to post double-digit tackles for loss since Landon Jackson in 2023. Rhodes also became the first Hog since 2021 to record three multi-sack games in a season. Nationally, he finished the regular season 13th in tackles for loss per game (1.23) and 23rd in sacks per game (0.67).
Rhodes’ dominance off the edge earned him legitimate NFL Draft buzz, with some projecting potential first-round upside. Despite that, the Little Rock native elected to return for his senior season, giving new head coach Ryan Silverfield a foundational defensive star to build around in 2026.
Mike Washington Jr.: A Thousand-Yard Workhorse
In his first season in Fayetteville, portal addition Mike Washington Jr. emerged as one of the SEC’s most productive running backs. The senior became the 16th player in Arkansas history to surpass the 1,000-yard rushing mark and the first Razorback since Raheim “Rocket” Sanders (2022) to accomplish the feat.
Washington rushed 167 times for 1,070 yards and eight touchdowns, delivering five 100-yard performances and scoring in seven of the Razorbacks’ 12 games. He also became the first Hog to notch back-to-back 100-yard rushing games against SEC opponents since Alex Collins in 2015. With a heavier workload than at any previous point in his career, Washington proved he could thrive as a true feature back in Arkansas’ high-powered offense.
Like Carmona, Washington accepted a Senior Bowl invitation, giving him an invaluable pre-draft platform to elevate his NFL stock.
The Few Bright Spots In A Rough Razorbacks’ Season
Despite an up-and-down 2025 season, Arkansas’ three All-SEC selections highlight both the talent on the roster and the foundation being built under new leadership. Carmona, Rhodes, and Washington each delivered standout seasons in their own right; one steady, one dominant, and one explosive, cementing their place among the SEC’s elite. It's always nice seeing the top players get acknowledged despite it not always showing up in the win column. All these players are deserving and played hard all season long.
As Carmona and Washington head to the Senior Bowl and Rhodes returns for one more year in Fayetteville, all three Razorbacks have positioned themselves for big futures, both in college football and beyond.
