Yesterday, the Hogs solidified a series win against Texas, and the Longhorns looked completely lost the entire night. The frustrations of getting beat handily in game one and a few questionable calls not going their way in game two made them collectively lose their minds, demonstrated by one of the biggest blunders of the season.

In the top of the seventh inning, Gabe Gaeckle found himself in a slight bind with two batters reaching, one on a rare throwing error by shortstop Wehiwa Aloy and the other on the first walk of the night. With one out and two on, Texas right fielder Tommy Farmer IV hit a high but playable foul ball. But when Ryder Helfrick made the play near home plate, he looked up to find the baserunners didn't return. Helfrick threw to first for the easiest double play of the season, and the Hogs headed to the dugout.

During the broadcast, the announcers suggested that Case Borba and Will Gasparino had forgotten the number of outs. However, Texas head coach Jim Schlossnagle deemed it an inexcusable lapse in judgment. The cameras immediately swung to the Texas dugout, where Schlossnagle paced up and down the dugout, laying into his Longhorns team. Both Borba and Gasparino were immediately pulled from the game.

The Longhorns couldn't recover from the mistake, hitting 1-7 in the final two innings. Arkansas would go on to win 6-1, clinching the series. The victory comes thanks in part to the outstanding pitching from Gage Wood, Gabe Gaeckle—who's struggled lately—and Adien Jimenez, combining for 15 strikeouts to only two walks.

Hitting was solid as well, with the top of the order all recording a hit, accounting for four of Arkansas' six RBIs. That includes Kuhio Aloy's two-out double, clearing a loaded bases situation in the second.
