Shortly before Arkansas and Texas Tech were set to tip off in the Sweet Sixteen, CBS insider Jon Rothstein reported that Tech's most accurate 3-point shooter, Chance McMillian, will not be available for Thursday night's game.
Texas Tech hasn't had their sharpshooter since the NCAA Tournament started, and it's felt it. Against UNC Wilmington and Drake, the Red Raiders shot a measly 25 percent from deep. Luckily, they've been able to bang the ball in the paint, overpowering the smaller teams they've faced, especially against Drake. However, they won't have that luxury against the Hogs.
McMillian averages 14.2 points on the season, shooting at a 52.5 percent clip from the field and 43.4 from the arc.
On the other hand, Arkansas will have a full team with Adou Theiro, the Razorbacks' leading scorer. It's the first time all season that the Hogs have had a healthy team, giving Arkansas depth for the first time.
Texas Tech's Chance McMillian (upper body) is unavailable for tonight's Sweet 16 game against Arkansas, per a school spokesman.
