The SEC drops another doozy of a schedule for Arkansas football in 2025
Just a week and a half after the SEC regular season ended, the conference released the 2025 schedule, and it might be the worst Razorback schedule to date.
The first seven weeks are absolutely atrocious. Only twice do the Hogs play in Fayetteville in that stretch. The first game of the season is against Alabama A&M on the Hill, but the Razorbacks won’t be back home until week five against Notre Dame.
Following that, fans will have only three more chances to catch the Razorbacks at home: against Auburn, Texas A&M, and in the regular season finale against Missouri. The limited number of home games is made even more frustrating by how the season ends—on the road, just as it began. Arkansas will travel to LSU and Texas before finally returning to Fayetteville to take on Mizzou.
This is the second consecutive year that the SEC has given Arkansas only two true home games in the first seven weeks. The only difference is that this season, four of the last six games were at home, and they were better games. It's also the second time the Razorbacks have to play in five different venues in the first six games.
Of course, one of the reasons Arkansas only has five games in Fayetteville is the annual game in Little Rock. After this season, the agreement is no longer binding, and with this outrageous schedule, it's hard to fathom the University of Arkansas renewing it with the Arkansas Department of Parks and Tourism.
Still, the SEC hasn't done the Razorbacks any favors, either. The league could have spread out games, but instead, it packed all of Arkansas's SEC home games in the middle of the season. It's no surprise, though. The SEC treats Arkansas like this year after year, especially in football.
