Another week of SEC basketball down, another week of the state of Alabama continuing to lead the way.
Auburn (9-0) and Alabama (-8-1) continue to stit atop the SEC standings going into the weekend. The Tigers will host Florida (6-3) in the SEC's marquee matchup of the day. Meanwhile, Alabama will travel to Bud Walton Arena for a potential trap game against Arkansas (3-6).
Speaking of the Razorbacks, it appears that John Calipari has figured something out. After an 0-5 start to SEC play, the Hogs have won three of four, including consecutive road triumphs over Kentucky and Texas.

The Wildcats (4-5) have been in a slump as of late. Mark Pope's team has lost four of five, but will see a welcome sight on Saturday when they welcome the South Carolina Gamecocks (0-9) to Rupp Arena.
Only one game away from the SEC basement are the struggling LSU Tigers. Losers of five straight, LSU's only SEC victory thus far came against Arkansas, and the Tigers are searching for any semblance of momentum.
The middle of the SEC standings remains as jumbled and confusing as ever. After grabbing back-to-back wins over Missouri and Texas A&M, Texas (4-6) was outclassed in every facet of the game on Wednesday in its loss to Arkansas. Speaking of the Aggies, (6-3) they'll travel to Columbia on Saturday to face Missouri (6-3) in one of the more underrated games of the day.
Auburn and Alabama reign supreme for the moment, but it's hard to rank teams after that in a conference that has cannibalized itself all season long.
