Arkansas basketball continues to build momentum as its win streak stretched to four games Tuesday night with a dominant 108-80 victory over Queens. Fresh off sweeping the SEC Weekly Honors following a statement win over No. 16 Texas Tech, Trevon Brazile and Darius Acuff picked up right where they left off, powering the Razorbacks with another pair of elite performances.
The Razorbacks showed no signs of slowing down, overwhelming Queens from the opening tip and cruising to their fourth consecutive win. Arkansas’ offensive rhythm was evident throughout the night, finishing with six players scoring in double figures while shooting efficiently from all areas of the floor. The balance and pace showcased a team beginning to click at the right time.
Darius Acuff’s All-Around Brilliance Continues
Acuff was just as impressive, recording his second career double-double with 23 points and 10 assists. The freshman guard shot 8-of-13 from the field and buried 4-of-6 shots from deep while adding three rebounds and three steals in 31 minutes. It marked the fifth straight game Acuff has scored at least 17 points and the fourth consecutive contest in which he has dished out eight or more assists.
It’s rare to see a freshman who can score at an elite level while still prioritizing playmaking for teammates, but Acuff has consistently displayed that balance. His ability to control the game as both a scorer and facilitator continues to raise Arkansas’ ceiling to new heights after a slower start as a team to the season.
"“When you’ve got a guy that can score the ball at will and is a willing passer, you can’t really ask for more out of a point guard,” Arkansas forward Nick Pringle said. “His teammates love playing with him. He’s pass-first and genuinely wants to make the best play, not just play isolation basketball. When a freshman has that mindset, you know he’s been instilled with the right approach from his coaching staff, and it shows on the court.”"Arkansas Forward Nick Pringle
Brazile’s Growth Raising Arkansas’ Ceiling
Brazile turned in the best offensive performance of his career, finishing with a career-high 26 points on an ultra-efficient 9-of-11 shooting night. The veteran forward was lethal from beyond the arc, knocking down 5-of-7 three-point attempts, while also contributing four rebounds, three assists, and three steals in just 25 minutes of action. His efficiency and confidence were evident from the opening tip as he continued to showcase a scoring arsenal that has become increasingly dangerous.

While Acuff’s emergence has been a joy to watch, Brazile’s recent level of play may be what ultimately pushes Arkansas into a different tier. In three of the last four games, Brazile has scored at least 21 points, including two performances against ranked opponents. Head coach Payne believes the veteran forward is only scratching the surface of his potential.
"“I think the kid is making a statement about how good he is, but also how good he can be,” Payne said. “I don’t think he’s touched the surface. There’s more in there. He’s shooting the ball with great confidence right now. He needs to keep that up. He can rebound, 15 or 16 rebounds in a game. We need to see that.”"Assistant Coach Payne
Brazile has clearly found his groove as a primary scoring option playing off Acuff’s playmaking, with his points per game numbers up from 6.8 in 2024-2025 to 15.1 currently. While the three-point shot has been falling at a high rate, Payne’s comments highlight just how much more the coaching staff believes Brazile has to offer. If he pairs his scoring with consistent rebounding production, his ceiling rises dramatically.
With conference play approaching and even tougher competition on the horizon, Arkansas is beginning to look like a team peaking at the right time. If Brazile and Acuff maintain this momentum, the Razorbacks’ recent surge may only be the beginning and the rest of college basketball would be wise to pay attention.
