NDSU took Kansas by surprise Saturday afternoon and beat the Jayhawks 4-3. While the game didn't involve Arkansas directly, the game's outcome had huge effects on the regional, and many Hogs fans were paying attention.

The Jayhawks were ranked the second-best team in the Fayetteville Regional, and watching them fall 0-2 this weekend, fans were elated. On paper, they were the Razorbacks' biggest threat to making the super regional round, and without Kansas in the way, the road ahead looks much clearer for Arkansas.

However, on another note, Arkansas has completely owned Kansas lately, beating the Jayhawks twice in basketball postseason play, once in football, and another in last year's preseason exhibition basketball game. And unfortunately, the Diamond Hogs won't have the chance to make all three of the revenue sports.

Arkansas fans social media reactions: Kansas baseball vs North Dakota State

The majority of Razorbacks fans were happy to see the Jayhawks go home. However, there was a hint of surprise going around social media.

Controversy in the ninth

Austin Farmer, site expert for Razorbackers, points out the the controversial foul tip call in the top of the ninth inning that put Kansas one out away from losing. ESPN's replay showed the ball bouncing off the ground an into the catcher's glove but the call was not reviewable, according to the announcers on the call.

Epic Trolling

Of course, it wouldn't be a social media reaction without some of the trolls. Arkansas is among the best (or worst?) of them, and Kansas' loss this afternoon was no exception.
