It looks like Arkansas Baseball can’t get enough of the laid-back Hawai’ian culture, adding another transfer from the Aloha State. This time, it’s a player with a last name you’d be familiar with.

Wehiwa Aloy’s brother, Kuhio Aloy, announced on X (formerly Twitter) that he intends to transfer from BYU to Arkansas for the 2025 season.

Aloy hit .269 in his first year of college with eight homers, 38 RBIs, and nine doubles. On a BYU team that finished last in their conference, that was good enough for the fourth-best batting average and a team-best in RBIs. It also earned him Big 12 All-Freshman honors.

The Cougars used Aloy mainly as a designated hitter, starting 50 of 52 games. When he did field, he played first base and finished with a .946 fielding percentage.

Kuhio Aloy is the third player from the state of Hawai’i to join the Razorbacks in two years. Last season, Wehiwa Aloy and Nolan Souza became Hogs as well. Wehiwa transferred from Sacramento State and instantly generated excitement with his big-hit potential.

Souza was the No. 70 rated recruit in the 2023 Class and earned a semi-starting gig as Arkansas’s designated hitter.
