Arkansas basketball's roster is starting to fill up fast and with big-time talents.
The Razorbacks have landed the 14th-ranked player in the transfer portal, Jonas Aidoo. The big man from Tennessee had a breakout season in 2024 and will be a much-welcomed addition to Zvonimir Ivisic in Arkansas' front court.
In the 2022-23 season, Aidoo worked his way onto the floor, eventually earning a starting spot toward the end of the season. The following year, he was the clear starter and averaged 24.9 minutes a game. He racked up an insane stat line, too, knocking down 51.5 percent of his shots for 11.4 points a game.
Most of his offensive production came in the paint, with 321 of his 336 attempts coming from inside the arc. However, he does have a decent midrange shot. His presence under the rim wasn't merely an offensive plus. He's also a great defender in the post, averaging 7.3 rebounds and 1.8 blocks a game.
Aidoo is the fifth addition to the 2024-25 roster, leaving eight scholarship spots left to fill. He joins fellow transfer Ivisic, as well as, incoming freshman Karter Knox, Billy Richmond Jr., and Boogie Fland.
