The 2-1 series win over Mississippi State was good enough to move the Hogs to No. 3 in this week's D1Baseball Top 25.
After losing the previous series to Kentucky, the Razorbacks not only faced their first series loss at home but their first back-to-back this season. Arkansas completed a 6-0 comeback in the rubber match on Sunday afternoon. Fortunately for the Hogs, teams ahead of them in the ranking weren't so lucky.
Texas A&M suffered consecutive SEC series losses to LSU and Ole Miss, falling from the No. 1 spot to No. 5 over the last two weeks. Clemson dropped a couple of places after losing to another top-10 team in Wake Forest.
The surprise of the season, Kentucky, jumped to No. 2 after beating Florida in Gainesville, including two extra-inning games. Tennessee stayed at the top for the second straight week.
The Razorbacks will wrap up the season at College Station against the Aggies. A series win will clinch the West for Arkansas, and a sweep plus a loss by Kentucky and Tennessee will make the Hogs outright SEC Champions.
