Well, it’s officially official.

The NCAA has announced the locations for all 16 regional tournaments. Fayetteville is indeed one of them.

Arkansas joins four other SEC teams hosting regional tournaments. Georgia, Texas A&M, Tennessee, and Kentucky were also selected.

North Carolina, Virginia, Clemson, Oregon State, Eastern Carolina, Oklahoma, NC State, UC Santa Barbara, Oklahoma State, Florida State, and Arizona filled out the available spots.

The Razorbacks are coming off a 0–2 performance at the SEC tournament. They also lost seven of their last 11 games. However, Arkansas has done enough this season to earn a regional bid. Arkansas is 43–14 on the season, going 20–10 in conference play.

Hosting a regional will benefit the diamond hogs greatly. With an away record under .500, Arkansas is much better at home, going 33–3 at Baum Walker Stadium. The fan base for Arkansas is one of the most rambunctious in the nation, so the Hogs will have a huge home-field advantage.

Coach Dave Van Horn and the Razorbacks will have to wait until tomorrow to find out if their effort in the regular season was enough for a top-8 seed, giving them a super regional if they make it past their first obstacle.

The NCAA Tournament Selection Show is tomorrow at 11:00 a.m. CST on ESPN2.
