Runners stranded

The whole theme of this post is "missed opportunities," and there's no stat that represents it more than the number of runners stranded.

The Razorbacks left a whopping 33 baserunners on the diamond. To put it into perspective, a three-game series, playing through the ninth inning, has 81 possible runners a team can strand. Thirty-three runners is 40.7 percent of the total amount Arkansas could've stranded.

But it's even worse when you take away game three. Arkansas stranded 14 and 13 runners in the first two games, respectively. So, in those games, the Hogs wasted 27 of 54 maximum stranded baserunners, exactly half.

Arkansas doesn't have enough firepower to miss out on so many opportunities. The long ball isn't there this season, so trying to go yard every at-bat needs to end.
