Arkansas's offense couldn't sustain a drive to save their lives on Saturday, scoring only because of explosive plays. Conversely, the defense was solid, holding Texas A&M to 297 yards. That was in no small part, thanks to Landon Jackson.

All season, fans questioned where Jackson had been before Saturday's game against Texas A&M. The preseason All-SEC selection averaged only 2.5 tackles a game with zero sacks despite all the hype. He answered his critics with a bang, nearly doubling his season totals against the Aggies.

Jackson recorded eight tackles, including six solo, two sacks, and three tackles for loss. He also affected A&M's freshman quarterback countless times, especially near the end of the game. That's why Jackson is the Hog of the Week.

With how inconsistent the offense is, the Razorbacks will need a defense that can handle the adversity that comes with a boom-or-bust offense. Jackson will be paramount to that happening going forward. However, he couldn't have done it without help from his fellow defensive lineman. Of the seven TFLs, the DL recorded five of them. Arkansas's front seven created havoc for the Aggies, allowing Jackson to do what he doesn't after being double-teamed all season.
