Arkansas (3-1, 1-0) will clash with No. 24 Texas A&M (3-1, 1-0) in what will likely be another rousing Southwest Classic. Here are some true and false statements about Saturday's matchup.
True: The game will be decided in the final minutes
Four of the last six games in the series — excluding the 2020 matchup in College Station — have been decided by seven points or less, and there's no reason to think this installment will be any different. The Aggies have had Arkansas' number since the series moved to AT&T Stadium for good in 2014, but few of those games have been blowouts. These teams seem to be matched up relatively evenly this season, so it wouldn't be a surprise to see a game with a litany of lead changes that is determined in the final minutes.
False: Taylen Green's completion percentage will be under 50 percent
Yes, yes, we know we said this last week, but offensive coordinator Bobby Petrino will not allow Green to put forth another middling effort through the air. After going 23 of 53 passing over the last two games, Green will be sharper in the passing attack on Saturday. His legs will always be there to make a play, but his development in the passing game will truly begin to take shape in the Southwest Classic. He may not light the world on fire, but he won't be under the 50 percent mark again, either.
