East-West Shrine Bowl names 16 Arkansas football players to its watchlist
On Friday, the East-West Shrine Bowl released its 1000 Preseason Watch List. It includes the top 1,000 best players eligible to play in the All-Star game. Despite the media's attitude toward the Hogs, Arkansas has 16 players named to the watch list. The Razorbacks' 16 players are only bested by three SEC teams: Ole Miss (20), Florida (17), and Oklahoma (17).
According to the East-West Shrine Bowl's website, the bowl game is designed to " begin to preview College players who are currently all-star game eligible for the 2025 East-West Shrine Bowl and 2025 NFL Draft Class." The game is no small feat to play in either. "Every year, approximately 1000 all-star game eligible players are drafted, signed after the draft, or attend a rookie mini-camp."
Last season, Arkansas had three players participate in the 2024 East-West Shrine Bowl. Dwight McGlothern and Trajan Jeffcoat didn't record stats in the game, but Cam Little knocked down two field goals; he hit one from 26 yards out and another from 48.
